Shannon Brennecke (Director)

My name is Shannon Brennecke and I have worked here at Little Lambs for 27 years.  The first 8 years as the K4 teacher and the last 19, as the director.  I graduated from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education and a minor in History.  I have since taken several classes in Business and Early Childhood.  Every year I learn something new in the ever changing world of education.

I grew up in Hartland and now call Oconomowoc home.  I have two children, Daniel (18) and Ryan (15).  Daniel is a freshman in college at Colgate University in New York and Ryan is a freshman at Oconomowoc High School.  Both boys are very involved in sports and school, so much of my free time is spent on a baseball or soccer field or on a basketball court.  We love to watch the Brewers and Packers, swim, go boating,  hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

My goal as the Director of Little Lambs is to provide an environment where all children here are loved and are able to learn, grow and discover in a safe and fun environment.

 Laura Davis (K4)

“Welcome! I am Laura Davis and I serve as the K4 teacher. I’ve had the privilege to teach here at Little Lambs for the past 25 years. Everyday is an adventure as I help my young students experience the love of learning.

I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Since, I’ve had the opportunity to earn numerous additional college credits in the areas of Early Childhood, Literacy and Teaching the Gifted.

I am a member of the Wisconsin State Reading Association and have recently been appointed to the Early Childhood Literacy Committee within this organization. It is the mission of this committee to promote and advance early literacy development to families, schools and communities throughout the state of Wisconsin.

I am the mother of two daughters, Elizabeth (19) and Elaina (16). As most parents, I spend much of my free time involved in their school projects and extra curricular activities. We love to travel, are avid readers, enjoy music, and look forward to spending time at our cabin up north.

Jamie Knies (2-3 Year Olds)

“My name is Jamie Knies.  I am the teacher in the 2-3 year old classroom.  I have been working at Little Lambs for the past 11 years.  I received  my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Maranatha Baptist University in Watertown, Wisconsin. I enjoy working with the 2-3 year olds in my classroom.  I love working on the beginning readiness skills, shapes, colors, social skills, and helping parents with potty training!  It has taught me a lot in preparation for my own little ones.

I have been married to my husband, James, for almost 12 years.  We have a 6 year son and a 3 year old daughter.  In my free time,  I love reading fun books, playing the piano and clarinet, and visiting my family in Michigan. I am very involved in my church in Pewaukee, where I  play the piano for our Sunday services.  I  am part of the church choir, and I enjoy singing special music for our worship services.”

Lisa Radix (Infant Room)

“My name is Lisa Radix. I have been teaching at  Little Lambs for the past 18 years!  I have worked with various age groups during those 18 years but I have really enjoyed working in the infant room for the past 7 years.  It’s been very rewarding to see the them grow and learn through their first year of life.  I received my Early Childhood Education Certification through WCTC & MATC.  During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my children, grandchildren and friends.”

Rose Strahm (Toddler Room)

“Hi, my name is Rose Strahm and I am the Bunny Room teacher.  I have worked at Little Lambs for over 18 years. I love working with this age group. I enjoy watching their developmental growth as I get to snuggle, read, and play with them. I received my teaching certificates from Black Hawk Technical College in 2001. Prior to working at Little Lambs, I worked at a school-age program for 4 years in New Glarus, Wisconsin.

Family time is very important to me. I spend my free time visiting with my family, knitting, crafting, and baking. I keep myself busy with Pinterest projects ☺ for both home and school.”
